Portland, OR—The Oregon Coalition of Police and Sheriffs (ORCOPS), the largest representation of front-line law enforcement in the state, announces its official endorsement of Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer to represent Oregon’s 5th Congressional District.

“Rep. Chavez-DeRemer has made strong progress fighting to create safer communities. She helped pass bipartisan legislation to help address the homelessness crisis. She’s also working directly with law enforcement to help get dangerous drugs like fentanyl off our streets,” said ORCOPS President Sgt. Aaron Schmautz. “ORCOPS proudly stands with Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer and supports her re-election to Congress—she is and will continue to be the leading voice for Oregon law enforcement in Washington D.C.”

Most importantly, Rep. Chavez-DeRemer does not have to tell you what she will do. Unlike her opponent, she does not have to revise prior positions or lie to cover for damage done. She is doing the job today and has been a moderate leader from her first day in Congress.

Oregon police officers support and endorse Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer and Oregon families can trust Rep. Chavez-DeRemer to protect public safety and deliver bipartisan results.
